Born in Brewton, Alabama. Eleven years later, my family and I moved to Pensacola, Florida, where I began my first career as a paper boy for the Pensacola News Journal. During high school, on nights and weekends, I worked for Bo Cronley as a carpenter’s helper. Immediately after graduating from Pensacola High School, I started working for Gulf Power as an apprentice lineman and attended night classes at Pensacola Junior College. In 1978, I received my real estate license and sold real estate part time with Old South Properties. I opened my own company, Eric Gleaton Realty, in 1984. After 40+ years, Eric Gleaton Realty is in business today with an experienced team of realtors and a thriving rental department.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to give back to the community in many ways. I am currently a Senior Real Estate Specialist, a member of the Pensacola Association of Realtors, and was previously a Director and Vice President for PAR, a member of the National Association of Realtors, and a Paul Harris fellow with Cantonment Rotary. Previously I served on the Board of Directors for the Diabetes Association; Volunteer Pensacola; St. Luke United Methodist Church and the 4H Foundation. In 1992, I graduated from the Chamber of Commerce LEAP Program and was a past member of the Committee of 100.

Today, I enjoy life along the beautiful Gulf Coast with my lovely wife, Marilyn, and, when time permits, catch a ballgame with my son Wesley.
